At Daisy Letters anyone can nominate a child or teenager between the ages of 0-19 years to receive a personal, handwritten letter of encouragement from Leanna.
The aim of these letters are to encourage, inspire and brighten up the day of the recipient.
Any child who is suffering for whatever reason is eligible for a letter, whether it be illness, hospital stays, difficult challenges they may be facing, or having some bad days.
Hi, my name is Leanna, and Daisy Letters was my idea. Since I was 6 months old, I have spent a lot of my life in hospital, fighting cancer twice, and all the complications that have come with it.
I know how hard it can be struggling with illnesses, or being in hospital for long periods of time, or having a bad day where life is tough. I would have loved to receive a letter to encourage me, and so I want to be able to do this for other children and teenagers. A handwritten, personal letter can mean so much to the recipient, and with words of strength, encouragement and care, I want to bring a smile to peoples faces and hopefully brighten up their day.
I have set up Daisy Letters for children and young people age 0-19 who are struggling with medical problems, poorly, in hospital for long periods of time, or having some bad days where they are finding life tough. They will be able to receive a personal, handwritten letter from me, offering words of encouragement, with my main aim being to brighten someones day and bring a smile to their face.
This is a non profit making charity set up to help children and young people. Should you wish to donate to Daisy Letters please get in touch via the reply section and we will let you know how you can. Any money donated would help towards stamps, letter writing paper, envelopes, ink cartridges etc.
Daisies are a constant daily reminder of my identical twin sister Anastazie, who passed away. Daisies are beautiful, simple flowers that bring joy to many people so this is why I have chosen the name Daisy Letters.
